Volunteer Information


1.) Pick-up a Volunteer/Criminal History Consent Form from our parent liaison (Ms. Thomas), the Office of Safety and Security, or visit the Clayton County Public School Volunteer Information Center.


2.) View the "Mandated Reporting Video" located on the Volunteer Information Center website.

3.) Volunteer-candidates must complete the applicant portion of the Volunteer Application and Criminal Background Consent Form (Forms are available in both Spanish and Vietnamese) and submit to the parent liaison. The applicant's signature verifying training and notification of Mandated Reporter status must be notarized at the school. (No fee) 

4.) Make a copy of your driver’s license to attach to the form.

5.) Return the notarized form and the copy of your driver's license to Ms. Thomas in the front office.

6.) The parent liaison will assess the request and identify the Level of volunteerism sought by the candidate.
Level 1- The volunteer will be escorted/supervised by district personnel at all times. 
Level 2- The volunteer will have direct interaction with students but will be supervised by district personnel at all times.
Level 3- The volunteer will have direct, unsupervised interaction with students.

Volunteer candidates must wait for confirmation of approval or denial from Ms. Thomas. Volunteer should not proceed to volunteer until approval is given.

For all parents that are interested in a Level 3 background check, which is required to accompany students on field trips, please contact the Office of Safety and Security at 678-479-2650. The Office of Safety and Security will be able to process the paperwork, fees, and scheduling for fingerprinting.
